Harris + Caitlin | Hudson Valley Wedding

It was an honor for Michael and me to be a part of Harris & Caitlin’s beautiful wedding day. Harris’s mom is Ms. Carol, the owner of Kid’s Club House preschool. When our first child was three years old, I called a few schools to find the perfect fit for our two little boys. This was before research could be done on social media and blogs. While I was talking to Ms. Carol, I could feel her warmth and sincerity through the phone. I’m sure she sensed my apprehension about leaving our first born with total strangers. She instantly made me feel that she would care for our boys like they were one of her own. Our boys loved her preschool, and so did we. Photographing Harris dancing with his mom brought tears to my eyes. Now that our boys have gotten older, I realized for the first time just how special those first dances are when we photograph weddings.

It was an absolute joy for us to photograph this wedding. Harris and Caitlin exude kindness. Their love for each other, and all their family and friends, could be felt. And I loved how present and in the moment they were throughout the day.

Their wedding was in the gorgeous gardens at Round Hill and their reception was in the private estate. Though Round Hill is a grand house, it had an intimate home feeling.
